Location

• From Nevada City take West Broad St. to highway 49. Cross the highway to Cement Hill Road. Stay on Cement Hill Road for 2.4 miles to Augustine Road, a right hand turn. Follow Augustine Road for .7 miles. The studio is a red barn on the right.
• From Grass Valley take highway 49/20 to the split. Turn left onto highway 49. Cement Hill Road is the 4th road on the right.
• The average travel time is 8 minutes from Nevada City. Enjoy the views and listen to the recordings.

Studio Polices

• Student families are responsible for scheduling lessons. Please see: Studios and Studio Schedule
• Students should always observe other lessons.
• While lessons are in progress, children may do anything they wish, so long as they make no sound or other disturbance. They will learn simply by being present. Adults, however, should be more active observers. I am constantly modeling behavior that works with children - and asking them to commit to specific numbers of repetitions for specific practice routines. Whether the lesson is your child or another's, understanding the practice process and the "Piano Basics" involved are crucial to your child's progress.
• Recitals are very important! Please attend all of them.
• Children should not be outside the studio without adult supervision.
• The lower level garden is our bedroom. Please do not enter without Joy or Floyd's invitation.

Perry-Thistle Piano School Tuition Schedule

Student families may pay tuition in full at the beginning of the trimester or may pay in four equal installments due by the seventh day of each month. Tuition includes as much observation and as many lessons as you can schedule, recitals at approximately six week intervals, unlimited telephone and/or e-mail support, occasional special events as well as reduced rates for recording and archival services. In the event the total number of lessons in a trimester falls below ten, a refund of 10% of tuition will be made for each missed lesson to a maximum refund of 50%.
