Introduction
The hard one! Every student looks forward to playing this song. They believe that they know it and that is easy to play. But producing a beautiful, singing legato on the piano is not easy and will be one of our major concerns, certainly throughout level one, if not our entire careers.
Things To Listen for:
- A beautiful singing legato (smooth and connected) with full, beautiful tone.
- Phrases that build and ebb.
Things To Watch for:
Practice Notes:
- ManusDexter
- Again, play many repeated notes with finger 1 on treble C.
- Proceed as you did with the other Twinkles.
- Remember to Listen, evaluate and praise.
- M. S.
- Do not start Left hand work until you have can play all of the Twinkles well with your Right hand.
- Then, use the same procedure for the Left hand.
- If you are right-handed, please practice the Left hand even more that you do the Right hand.
