The Cool Wet Season
In this part of the world, on the West coast of North America, we have just two seasons, the
warm dry season and the cool wet season. The cool wet season begins between mid October and January. As soon as the rains come, the native plants begin to sprout and grow. Green grass appears and the landscape takes on a soft "Spring"-like air. The rains taper off in April and May. Sometimes there is a transition period between the
CoolWetSeason and the
WarmDrySeason, but this year there was not. One day in June it was still cool and wet; on the next it was hot and dry.
