Live Nude New CascadingStyleSheet? based site layout!
This is a pretty cool bit of work, if I may say. It has a fixed header along the top
and a fixed side navigation bar along the right side. If it works in your
WebBrowser, you should see the main body text of the page slide underneath the header when there is enough text to scroll down the page.
This layout is really only meant for modern browsers. I have tested and found it to work with Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla 1.5, Netscape 7.1 on Windows XP.
NOTE: It does not, and will not be made to work with Netscape 4.8 (or earlier). I
would like this layout to work for Macintosh users. Would anyone with a Mac OS (of any flavor)
write up a report?
I'll start a site
SiteConstruction page to detail the build of the site and provide a place for comments, error reports, or other related information. Head on over and
provide some feedback.

TurkeyCam!
Howdy folks. You've just been spammed. Some of you repeatedly. Some of you for the second year in a row. Deal with it.
As many of you know, we're celebrating our fourth annual Thanksgiving feast at our Gough Street abode. Each year has brought groups of wonderful revelers to our home. It's great to be surrounded by such great people, and we just wish we could fit more of you in here.
Last year, we built, roasted, and devoured a turducken (A chicken inside a duck, inside a turkey.) It was very yummy, but took a lot of work. We've gone back to the traditional turkey this year.
Many folks were curious about the turducken, so last year also saw the introduction of the TurduckenCam. As it turns out, the cam was a roaring success. Thousands (yes, thousands) of people just like you took a look at the TurduckenCam at some point over the day.
So this year, we're going to do it again. The webcam has been upgraded from the $10 model to the $18 model, and it has a new perch, overlooking a wider area of the kitchen.
http://www.im-jeff.com/turkeycam/
The cam will be turned on tomorrow morning when we roll out of bed and throw the turkey into a bucket full of brine. It'll be live online through tomorrow night, and then it will be shut down for the rest of the year.
Come take a look if you get the chance, and have a wonderful thanksgiving.
-Jeff & Denise
P.S. Feel free to forward this or put it on your blog or whatever. The more traffic to the
TurkeyCam, the better.

Big Shouts of thanks
What a cool tool!

Thanks a bunch. And thanks for all the other little goodies happening all over the place, like
LeftNav. Nice to have a
genius around.

I wanted to start a place where one could just stick a blurb in without regard for context, content, quality, layout, style, grammer, manners, er, well... you get the picture. Mostly this will be a place for me to write my little annoncements instead of cluttering up the front door.

Automated Features Enabled
Not sure why it took me so long to create a couple of
CronJobs?, but the
WebNotify feature and the automated update of
WebStatistics have been enabled.
The
WebStatistics update at the top of every hour, and the
WebNotify will check for changes to the site three times an hour (let me know if it's too much) and notify you via email if you have
subscribed to the feature.

Major Template Changes
I have implemented a hacked up version of a
KathiaZolfaghari layout to the site (sorry Kathia). Perhaps you noticed?
Navigation and functionality have been rearranged. The one best improvement, I hope, is standardized left hand navigation for each web (
Family.LeftNav,
Piano.LeftNav,
Studios.LeftNav) that is automatically inlcuded in the template. PLEASE HELP make the site more navigable by adding links that you like to use to the
LeftNav.
As in any major change, things could break down. Please let me know if you have trouble using any feature of the site.

Google search from Perry-Thistle.net
I added Google's free site search to the footer. You may search the
WorldWideWeb by choosing the WWW radio box. If you are looking for something on our site please note that you may
WebSearch this site much more accurately.
There aren't many results for our site but our front door has been crawled and cataloged. I added a link to our site from
AndreSalvage.com (which gets crawled by the
googlebot monthly). You can help by creating links to perry-thistle.net from other sites on the web. The more links to our site, the better the chance that we'll be crawled.
